| 1) How much will the estimate
cost? |
| |
With most of the higher quality contractors there
should be no cost for providing you with an estimate. Barron
Brother’s takes their time to provide you with a detailed
estimate of your dream project to make sure it meets your approval. |
| |
|
| 2) How long will it take to provide an estimate? |
| |
It is usually good to schedule approximately 90 minutes of
uninterrupted time with all decision makers present. We will
be helping you to pick out your colors, designs and material
choices. |
| |
|
| 3) How much will project cost? |
| |
There is no reliable way to accurately price a sizeable project
over the phone or Internet. After careful analysis of needs and
choices, a quality contractor should offer a standardized proposal. |
| |
|
| 4) Will I need to be home when the work is going on? |
| |
Normally you will not need to be there the whole time. After
your needs and concerns have been properly documented they should
be communicated to the lead service provider. This usually occurs
at your schedule pre-construction meeting. |
| |
|
| 5) Who will be working in my home? |
| |
In addition to careful screening, for your review, we provide
a picture and background of the team working on your project.
We also ensure that no team member will smoke in or around your
home. Although we have never had a claim we are fully insured
for your protection. |
| |
|
| 6) What do I need to do to get Home Owners Association Approval? |
| |
A good Contractor with a full service policy should both prepare
a drawing for your HOA and lay your deck out on your plot plan
and help with the paperwork for you to simply submit. Another
thing to keep your eye out for is proper bonding and insurance.
Ask your contractor for an insurance claim history and insurance
certificate before you sign any proposal. |

|
| 7) What do I need to do to care for my wooden deck? |
| |
The answer is you won’t NEED to do anything, BUT to keep
the appearance up we recommend a cleaning and a light sanding
followed by a sealant at least every two years. Sikkens, Cuprinol, Behr |

| 8) How can I make my Deck interesting and unique? |

A good design will be the primary thing, but these will also
help: Benches,
